How it Works

Our simple step by step process to becoming qualified

Fill out our consent form

The first step to success is to simply scroll down the page and fill in our sign up form, followed by making payment of deposit or in full.


You will need to have decided which package you are interested in, if you would like advice from our experienced team, give us a call. Car to C+E may be an option! 

Sign Up Form

Complete Medical & Submit forms

Complete HGV medical, send off driving licence, along with D2 & D4 forms to DVLA, to have provisional Cat C entitlement added. Upon return of your licence, we can then book your theory etc in Step 3. 


If upgrading a HGV licence (C to C+E) this part is not required. Skip to Step 4

Complete Theory/Hazard/Case Study

Pass theory test, hazard perception & CPC Mod 2 case study at DVSA test centre of your choice (Mod2 not required if no plans to drive commercially).


Upon Completion, you are now ready to get behind the wheel! 

Practical Training

Practical training, from the below options:

Cat C (rigid) takes place with us, 4 days training followed by test on day 5, at a DVSA test centre. 


C+E upgrade (artic) takes place with us, 4 days training followed by test on day 5, at a DVSA test centre. 


Combined C / C+E Training. 4 days C training, a further 4 days C+E training, followed by test on day 9 at a DVSA test centre. 

Extra Tuition

Extra driver tuition held at B&W,  covering areas such as tail lift usuage, curtain opening/closing, use of digital tachographs, safe loading / load security etc. 


This can be tailored to the candidates desire. 

CPC Completion (Mod4 practical demonstration)

Complete Mod 4 practical demonstration at B&W, to be assessed (30 minute assessment) by our DVSA deligate assessor. 

You've Passed!!

You have now successfully become an HGV driver!
